Josh and I rented the movie (Apocalypto) the other night and I must say that it is (next to Lord of the Rings) one of the best movies I have ever seen. It is very violent, but the acting, cinematography, and costumes made you feel as if you were in the action. It is not a family film that little ones should watch. It is, however, a great movie to lose yourself in, which for me is the only reason to watch movies. Ebert, Roper and Bynum give it two thumbs up.

I watched a bunch of movie critics a while back discuss Apocalypto. They bashed it to peaces. Film critic Rex Reed was among them. It was obvious that they were bashing the movie because it was Mel Gibson's work. Apocalypto is an incredible piece of work. What a bunch of bozos.

I haven't seen it, but after that review, I'll have to rent it.
pieces....peaces...I really need to learn how to spell or use my spell checker. I really have no excuse.
Heather...not sure I would want to lose myself in this picture. John and I watched it last night, my stomach turned the whole movie (and I am a nurse!), the gore really got to me. Good special effects, and costumes though.
